And so it begins…

I’ve started a blog. “Why?” You ask. “Why give into the peer pressure?” “Why conform?”
The truth is that I am so intelligent and have so much important information to distribute to the masses that I felt it was time to enlighten the world with the mindless bablings of Aaron Heirtzler. Oh yeah, and it really helps out with SEO.
Actually, the hope is that this blog will help keep my clients, friends, family and other interested parties up to date on the happenings of AHC as well as the occasional, personal adventure. So stay tuned! This could get interesting (and it could just crash and burn and nobody will ever read it).
For those of you just being introduced to my work, I’ll take a minute with this first entry and give you a brief history:
I was born in Gold Hill, Colorado in the late 70’s. My family moved frequently and to date I have lived in 12 U.S. states and Germany (Florida and Colorado on multiple occasions). The next question I always get is, “Was your dad in the military?” Yes, but before my parents met and I was born. I’d have to say that the moves were due more to a mixture of a hippie lifestyle, the other end of the rainbow and pursued opportunity. Whatever the reasons, the moves helped me to adjust to new environments and gave me at least a geographical base for establishing similarities with almost anyone in the U.S.
After graduating high school in Colorado, I joined the Army as a Multimedia Illustrator and spent most of my 6 year enlistment in Germany and Washington D.C.. I left military service in 2002 to pursue a degree in the graphic arts, which I received from the University of Oregon. While I have operated a freelance business since 2000, I have also worked in several different industries including fashion, advertising, fine arts, technology and commercial/resort real estate (to name a few). I currently reside in Durango, CO with my fiancee and daughter and have recently started to operate as a full time freelance designer/illustrator/photographer under the name Aaron Heirtzler Creative.
So this is the beginning. I hope you stay tuned.
Aaron
