I’ve had the opportunity to live in almost every corner of the U.S. at some point (13 states and counting) and have travelled to most of the rest of the U.S. I’ve lived in the Washington D.C. area on two separate occasions. Both instances have been marked with significant, historical events that have had a national and global impact. My first three-year stay in D.C. saw me working at the Pentagon as a member of the United States Army where I was in-house for the terrorist attacks of September, 11 2001. Then, after leaving the area for over 15 years and returning, I was, again, front-and-center to witness the Nation’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter demonstrations. These images were taken as both events converged around the White House and National Mall in the Summer of 2020.
